Hi-Tech Bio-Agro Co.,Ltd is based on the massive health industry, focuses on plant extraction, and takes gardenia as its leading product to form an entire industrial chain that covers GAP planting, plant extraction and terminal products.

Committed to performing characteristic plant seedling breeding through bioengineering, carrying out demonstration planting by efficient organic cultivation, promoting fine processing with high and new technology, and making breakthroughs in the market in the manner of marketing, the Company has established close cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Hunan Agricultural University, etc. It carries out production activities strictly according to GMP.

Prof. Liu Zhonghua is mainly engaged in the research and teaching of deep tea processing and functional ingredient utilization, tea processing theory and technology, tea drinking and health, plant functional ingredient utilization, etc. He has undertaken more than 40 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, and won 2 national second prizes for progress in science and technology, 3 provincial first prizes in science and technology, 2 provincial second prizes in science and technology, and 4 ministerial or provincial third prizes for science and technology, obtained more than 40 national invention patents, published more than 400 academic papers, including more than 40 SCI articles, and edited or co-edited more than 10 academic monographs and textbooks.

Hi-Tech Bio-Agro Co.,Ltd  has formulated 5 standards including “Technical Specification for Industrial Breeding of Gardenia and Gardenia GAP Planting” and obtained 13 patents. It has a complete set of stable and mature high-quality and fast industrial gardenia seedling breeding technology system, and an annual production capacity of 50 million high-quality seedlings. 

The rate of crocin extraction from its “Linhai 1” gardenia fruit is up to 2.2%, 4 times as high as that from common gardenia fruits! Farmers can do farm work by wearing leather shoes and sitting in an air-conditioned room.

Hi-Tech Bio-Agro Co.,Ltd cooperates with the National Research Center of Engineering Technology for Utilization Ingredients from Botanicals in efficient extraction and separation of natural pigments, crocin, plant essential oil and natural perfume materials as a high-tech modern agricultural project, which was named a fund-subsidized project under key construction by the State Development and Reform Commission in 2015.

The R&D laboratory and deep processing line, which cover an area of 66.6 mu, consist of a 100,000-level clean room, a water extraction line, a granular preparation production line, an alcohol extraction line, a capsule production line, a tablet production line, an essential oil production line, an aromatic oil refining line, and a modern biotechnology laboratory.
